The Mustang Mach-E wins the title of best choice of the year for electric vehicles!

Consumer Reports magazine has named the Mustang Mach-E the best choice of the year for EVs, dethroning Tesla's Model 3, which has held this title for already two years. Marketed since 2020, the Mach-e is Ford's first all-electric vehicle. Its name refers to the 1969 Mustang Mach 1 and its design recalls the one of the sixth generation Mustang.

Consumer Reports gave the Mustang Mach-E stellar reviews for its ease of use and activating routine functions like adjusting mirrors, and for being quieter than other electric vehicles. It should be noted that the overall rating of vehicles is based mainly on the annual survey that Consumer Reports conducts among its readers. Very few issues were reported with the Mach-E, earning it an increased reliability rating. Two points have been added to the overall score thanks to the BlueCruise driver assistance system which warns the driver when attention is lost. The examiners also took into account the result of road tests, safety and respect for the environment.

Performance

The Mustang Mach-E is available with either a standard or extended range battery and an optional rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive system. Regarding the long-lasting battery, we can estimate its autonomy at least 475 km. As for the long-lasting battery-powered, all-wheel-drive Mustang Mach-E, it develops 332 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque. As for the Mach-E equipped with a standard battery, its autonomy is estimated at 397 km. This electric SUV in GT version offers instant acceleration! You can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds!
